In a message to Bangladeshis welcoming the Bangla New Year 2020, Scott Morrison said, "The celebration of the Bengali New Year is usually the most cherished tradition of the Bengali community. It is a time of renewal and refreshment and a time of joy and devotion.
In recent months, however, the drought, the fires and the ongoing global health crisis have posed a difficult challenge to our Australia. We need to prove strength, unity and tolerance at this time. Coronavirus happens once a year. We're going to deal with this disaster from one another at this time.

"We all have a role to play in protecting Australia," said the Australian Prime Minister. "Employers, nurses, doctors, teachers, scientists, friends, family and neighbors-everyone."
Scott Morrison said in his speech to the Bengali community living in the country, "I know that the Bengali community respects generosity, peace and mutual respect."

In his speech, Scott Morrison wished everyone the contribution of Bangladeshis to the country and Australia as their homeland. "I wish the best of the year to the Australian Bengalis and thank them for what you have given to Australia," he said.
