Small TV Somoy. 'Time TV Bangladesh is a 24-hour Bengali TV station. Its headquarters are in Dutta Lane, Bir Uttam CR 89, Banglamotor, Dhaka. It has a broadcast NOC license granted by the People's Republic of Bangladesh government. It was commercially on-air since 17 April 2011, after a test transmission on 10 October 2010. The channel is transmitted using the Bangabandhu-1 satellite, Bangladesh's first satellite, operated by Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited.
In October 2009, Somoy TV obtained permission from government to air. It began a test transmission on 10 October 2010 and has been on-air commercially since 17 April 2011.
On 1 January 2014, unidentified individuals in Chittagong City threw bombs on an official Somoy TV vehicle injuring the driver. The Network's journalists blamed Bangladesh's Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir activists.
