The matter was announced by Trump himself on Thursday. On that day, he visited the Ford Auto Factory in Epsilanti, Michigan, where workers are currently producing respirators and other medical equipment.
A mask was seen in Trump's hand while talking to reporters after the factory had been inspected. He said he was wearing a mask in the factory. But Trump said he didn't give the media a chance to make fun of his masked image.
