Locust Insect attack in Teknaf

Locust Insect attack in Teknaf .Small insects such as locusts eat plants in the garden of a single house in the village of Lombari, Teknaf Sadar Union, in Cox's Bazar. Hundreds of insects are sitting on the leaves and branches of the tree, eating the leaves one by one.

The owner of the house has posted a video on social media. When the news of insects spread, the District Agriculture Office took pictures and sent them to the agricultural laboratory.

Rows and rows of insects were spotted on Thursday, starting from herbs and weeds to dried leaves, raw leaves and tree branches. There are branches of trees somewhere, there are no leaves. Again, the leaves are shining. Somewhere the leaves are as porous as insects. There is some ash under the tree that could not be removed even after trying to control the insects by lighting a fire.

Sohail Sikder of the village of Lombari in Teknaf Sadar Union said he saw hundreds of insects visiting the mango tree of the Vit tree for a few days. The leaves of many other trees, including mango and tersal, have been damaged. There are no leaves anywhere except for the branches. Again, the leaves are shining.

However, as the number of insects increases day after day, so is the fan among the insects. Trying to protect it from insect attacks by setting fire to a bush under a mango tree did not work. The number of insects is increasing every day. These insects are like locusts. He spreads the insect video to social media without seeing the way.

The official, who didn't want to be named, said the insects had been sent to Cox's Bazar district office after he had seen the pictures. It's like a locust. Locusts have wings, and they can fly easily. His fan isn't seen, and he can jump from side to side. However, because it eats raw leaves, it is a harmful insect.

In this connection, the Teknaf Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer. Hadiur Rahman told bdbestnews that samples of this insect had been collected and sent to the laboratory. No instructions have been received from there so far. Insecticides have been sprayed several times, including yesterday, to prevent the spread of these insects elsewhere.
